It’s Always Step 1

Everything begins with Step 1.

It's easy to feel stuck or unsure when you're focused on Step 17.

What will I do when I get there? I'm not sure how I'll handle that! What if ______ happens down the road? Am I prepared for that?

But nothing has ever been created by starting at Step 17.

It always starts with Step 1.

Don't let "What ifs?" about Step 17 stop you from taking the next step in front of you.

You know what to do next. You know what you can do right now.

And then, when you eventually get to Step 17, you'll know what to do. Because it won't be Step 17 anymore. It will be your new Step 1.

And most likely, it won't even be the scenario you're imagining or worrying about - it will inevitably transform along the journey. What you fear or question from your current vantage point will become obvious and less daunting once you get there.

So stop looking at an imaginary Step 17.

Do the harder thing - look at Step 1.

What do you know is yours to do right now?
