Create or Cultivate?

What do you want to be true about your life in 6 months from now?

Does that need to be created? Or cultivated?

Discern whether that thing needs to be created - by doing one thing now to create a different thing later. Or if it needs to be cultivated - by beginning to practice now what you want to be true later.

Some things need to be created - like freedom in your business. You might need to work really hard for a season to create systems or opportunities that can allow you to have more freedom and time later. You invest lots of time now so later you have free time.

Some things need to be cultivated - like a healthy marriage or being more present. If you want that to be true in a year, you cultivate that starting now. Maybe you decide to go on a 30 minute walk to connect with your spouse every evening. Maybe you commit to a meditation practice every morning. Some things must be cultivated over time, starting now.

Discern between the two. Does this thing need to be created or cultivated?

Creating has an end date - a finish line.

Cultivating always has a start date - and that day is today.
